IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY DEAR WIFE GWEN WHO PASSED INTO THE SPIRIT WORLD AT 9.45PM ON FRIDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER 2003 AFTER A LONG AND PAINFUL ILLNESS.
"I miss you a lot my darling Gwen and I cannot wait until we meet again!"
Gwen's ashes were buried in Clacton on Sea cemetery on 31st October 2003. To find her, go through the cemetery gates, turn left and walk to the fifth bench along. She is just behind that.
Born in Tendring on 20th April 1947 Gwen was the third of five girls. She lived with her mother Elsie and father Ernest William Butler in Weeley until 25th March 1967 when she married Joe Gould in Weeley parish church. There were three children Mark, William and Joe junior. They lived in Waltham Forest until 2003. Gwen worked as an auxiliary nurse in the North Middlesex Hospital.
She was diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas in August 2002. We moved to Clacton on Sea in February 2003. Gwen bore her illness bravely never complaining.
We joined the Christian Spiritualist Church here which provided great comfort and proved beyond any doubt that life continues after physical death. Gwen has "come back" many times to say she is happy and well in the spirit world.
